District Plan

A District Plan is a document, generally consisting of maps, objectives, policies and rules, which sets out the activities permitted on any land in the Far North District, and the conditions under which these activities are permitted. It also details the activities where land use and subdivision consents are required, and under which conditions these can be approved. The purpose of the District Plan is to assist Council in carrying out its functions under the Resource Management Act 1991.

This Far North Partly Operative District Plan covers the whole of the Far North District Council Area.

The Partly Operative District Plan can be viewed at all Council offices and Public libraries and via our website.
