Election Called for Western Community Board

A by-election will be held
to fill a vacancy in the Kaikohe Subdivision of the Western (Hokianga/Kaikohe)
Community Board.
The by-election will be held by postal ballot on Wednesday 23rd April
2008. Nominations open today (Tuesday 5th February 2008).
Nominations will close on Tuesday 4th March 2008 and voting papers will
be mailed out to about 4250 electors in the Kaikohe Subdivision from
Tuesday 1st April 2008.
The electoral roll is now open for inspection at the Kaikohe Service
Centre, the Kaikohe Post Office and Kaikohe Library.
The vacancy has occurred as a result of the recent death of sitting
member Les Day
