Nominations
Close for Far North District Council By-Election

Four candidates have
nominated in a by-election to fill a vacancy on the Far North District
Council’s Western Community Board (Kaikohe Subdivision) following
the recent death of Mr Les Day.
Nominations for the by-election to fill the extra-ordinary vacancy closed
at midday today with the following candidates seeking a seat on the
Board:
Moira Moengaroa FLOYED
Shaun REILLY
John SCHOLLUM
Craig ZIELINSKI
The by-election will be a postal ballot with voting documents being
delivered to
about 4,250 electors from the Kaikohe Subdivision of the Western
Community Board from Tuesday 1 April 2008.
Completed voting documents must be returned to the electoral officer
by 12 noon on Wednesday 23 April 2008 (close of voting) and preliminary
results will be available that afternoon.
