By Election Results

Kaikohe's "community commentator" John Schollum has been elected as member of the Western Community Board (Kaikohe Subdivision) following a by-election which concluded at midday today (Wednesday April 23).

 

The by-election was necessary because of the recent death of sitting member Les Day.

 

Mr Schollum manages Kaikohe's Rau Marama Trust. He supports and promotes the concept of local communities finding solutions to their own issues and envisages Kaikohe becoming an exciting and vibrant centre for everyone.
