Social Development
The Far North District Council Social Development Plan 2007 – 2012 (192 kb PDF) was adopted by Council on 27 September 2007. This plan provides a blue print in relation to Council’s thinking on how it can best contribute to the social well-being of Far North communities.
The plan is in three parts:
1. Introduction
2. Overview of process taken to develop the plan, some key issues identified by the community and a snap shot of the social profile of the Far North, as provided by the Ministry of Social Development (a partner in the development of the plan).
3. This section outlines how Council will support and promote social development practice in the Far North.
Council would like to acknowledge the numerous organisations, community groups and individuals that contributed their time to assist in the development of this plan.
