Heritage, culture & tall ship sailing! It's a unique experience you will never forget. What better way to discover New Zealand's heritage and culture than from the decks of a tall ship. Not only is it fascinating, but a voyage on a tall ship is in itself a unique experience. Whether you hail from New Zealand or overseas, this trip will be an experience you will totally enjoy. Starting with the first Maori settlers then early European arrivals, both races learned, sometimes with tragic consequences about each others cultures and environment.

Bay of Islands Eco-sail
Tall ship sailing on an environmental journey of discovery in the Bay of Islands. A rare opportunity to sail the Northland coast on board the iconic tall ship the R.Tucker Thompson! On our Eco-Sail voyage, you will not only get the chance to actually visit normally inaccessible, remote locations but also play your own part in a keeping this environment pristine and special through support of Project Island Song.

Ceili @ Mangonui
Join us for an evening of live music, mostly Celtic dancing and lots of laughter! All dances are taught and called so that young and old, regulars and visitors can join in the fun. You don't have to bring a partner! You don't even have to dance as viewing from the sidelines can also be very entertaining! Entry is NZ$2 per adult, and a supper plate; accompanying children are free. Live music courtesy of local band 'Spootiskerry Spraoi'.

Ceili @ Mangonui
Kick start the holidays by bringing the whole family along to the ceili ("kay-lee"). It is traditionally an informal gathering where there is lots of Celtic music and dance. We add lots of laughter to the mix and have ourselves a memorable evening's entertainment. All dances are taught and called so that young and old, regulars and visitors can join in the fun. You don't have to bring a partner and, as watching and listening can often be just as enjoyable,you don't even have to dance! Entry is NZ$2 per adult, and a supper plate; accompanying children are free. Live music courtesy of local band 'Spootiskerry Spraoi'.

Far North Garden Safari
Far North Garden Safari is an annual fundraising event for Riding for the Disabled in Kaitaia. Held over 2 days on 14th & 15th November. Accommodation can be arranged in B&B's, motels or resorts. Watch this space for special surprises over the weekend.

Fullers GreatSights 20th Kerikeri Half Marathon
The first 7 km of the course is a gradual climb with two distinct hills. The remaining 14 km is a gradual decent to the finish on Kerikeri Domain.

Mangonui School Christmas in the Park
Mangonui School are hosting Christmas in the Park!
This takes place on November 28th at Mangonui School Grounds from 2pm to 9pm.
Attractions include a rock climbing wall, a volcano maze and a Scooby Doo maze which includes a rock wall inside with a big slide as you exit, a bouncy Castle for the little children, entertainment from Belly Dancers to Country singers, Kapa Haka, market stalls, Santa arriving on a Fire Engine and much more. The day is to be hosted by Sunshine FM.
There is also going to be loads of delicious food including Lamb on the Spit, good old Sausage Sizzle, Philippino dishes, and don't forget the Dessert tent!

Northern Crossing Multisport Challenge
The Rotary Club of Kerikeri, with the support of their major sponsor, Top Energy Limited, is developing the Northern Crossing Multisport Challenge and a supporting duathlon event, scheduled for 15 May 2010. They are aiming at challenging, although achievable, one-day events with a friendly atmosphere. The 100 km course includes great scenery and lots of history and, although it’s late in the season, it should be warm enough for comfort.

Santa's Grotto & Market/Fun day
Children of all ages are welcome to come and visit Father Christmas in our magical Grotto before he departs to Lapland to double-check all his final preparations and flight-plans for Christmas Eve! In return for a gold coin donation per family, each child visiting Santa will receive a special gift and be able to tell Father Christmas what they are wishing for on Christmas Day. Outside there will be a Christmas market and fun activities taking place, with gifts, crafts, home-baking, a raffle and sausage sizzle.
