Correction to Original Public Notice. Proposal for Representation Arrangements for the 2010 Local Elections

3 July 2009

The public notice Proposal for Representation Arrangements for the 2010 Local Elections mistakenly included the proposed Doubtless Bay subdivision in the table showing the proposed subdivisions for the Kaikohe\Hokianga Community Board. The Doubtless Bay subdivision was correctly shown in the table describing proposed subdivisions of the Te Hiku Community Board. The correct description of the proposed subdivisions for the Kaikohe\Hokianga Community Board is as follows:

Kaikohe\Hokianga Community Board

The Kaikohe\Hokianga Community Board shall elect six members. One Councillor shall be appointed to the Board from the Western Ward.

The Kaikohe\Hokianga Community Board shall be subdivided for electoral purposes as follows:

Subdivision

Area of Subdivision

Kaikohe

Being the current Kaikohe Subdivision, plus the Ohaeawai area, and excluding 16 meshblocks which move to the proposed South Hokianga subdivision, one to the proposed North Hokianga subdivision, and two to the proposed Bay of Islands subdivision.

North Hokianga

Being the northern parts of the current Hokianga subdivision.

South Hokianga

Being the southern parts of the current Hokianga subdivision.

The original Public Notice also mistakenly stated, in Council's reasons for the proposal, that the Broadwood areas should be replaced in the Northern Ward and Kaitaia subdivision. As indicated elsewhere in the original Public Notice, it is proposed that the Broadwood area be included in the Western Ward and North Hokianga subdivision
