Review of Resource Management Act Fees

Summary of Proposal
The Far North District Council (“the Council”) hereby gives notice that, pursuant to sections 82 and 150 of the Local Government Act 2002 and section 36 of the Resource Management Act 1991, it has resolved to review the fees and charges in respect of:

Submissions are invited on this proposal from Wednesday, 11 November 2009. The proposed fee schedule is available from Council’s District Office, Service Centres and FNDC Public Libraries. It can also be viewed on Council’s website www.fndc.govt.nz
Submissions should be delivered to any Council Office or may be posted Attention: Environmental Management Department, Private Bag 752, Kaikohe 0440; or faxed to (09) 407 0419; or emailed to feesreview@fndc.govt.nz Submissions should include your name, address, telephone numbers and email address.
Submissions close on Wednesday, 16 December 2009.
Council will read and consider all submissions. Please clearly state if you wish to speak to Council in support of your submission. Hearings will be held on Wednesday, 27 January 2010 and Council is scheduled to deliberate and adopt the final fees schedule on Thursday, 11 February 2010. Please note that any submissions made will be available to the public, and that the hearings on this proposal will be open to the public.
