The Timeline

  • July 2001 - donation by K.& J.Procter
  • December 2001 - design awarded to Dianna Sandifer
  • November 2002 - first spade in to earth by Mrs Procter
  • September 2003 - roof completed
  • January 2004 - construction completed
  • 7 February 2004 - official opening

Funding for this project was approved as follows: 

  • Procter Gift $650,000 
  • Kerikeri / Paihia Reserve Contribution Fund $350,000 
  • District Reserve Contribution Fund $350,000 
  • Lottery Grants Board $85,000 
  • Sale of CAB Building $20,000 
  • Interest on Procter Funds $50,000 
  • Loan Funding $30,000
