What is the Annual Plan 2008/2009?

The Annual Plan is is a document which tells you the main points you need to know about Council’s priorities for the year ahead, how much they will cost and how it is proposing to pay for them.

What has happened to the Far North Future Plan?

The Annual Plan sees Council embarking on year 3 of the Far North Future Plan. It drills down into the detail of what Council will be doing in 2008/2009 towards the aims and objectives outlined in the Future Plan in which Council set out its priorities for the period 2006-2016. Council has reviewed the strategic priorities set out in the Future Plan, and has included amendments in the 2008/2009 Annual Plan

How do I obtain a full copy of the Plan?

If you would like to look at a full copy of the Annual Plan you can do this by calling in at any library or Council Service Centre, by telephoning 0800 920 029, or viewing the council’s website. Alternatively, please contact us on success@fndc.govt.nz and we will post one out to you.

How will I know the outcome of my submission?

Council held deliberations on 6 June 2008 . Any changes from the Draft Plan will be shown in the Final Annual Plan due to be published in July. Each person who makes a submission is sent a letter advising them of the outcome of their submission. These letters are normally sent out in July.

When will the final Annual Plan be available for viewing?

The final Annual Plan 2008/2009 is available on our website from 1 July 2008, with printed copies available upon request from the beginning of August 2008.
