The Kaikohe Memorial hall is conveniently located in Central Kaikohe on Memorial Drive. It is available for hire seven days a week between 8.00 am and 12.00 pm.

The Hall comprises of:

  • Main hall and stage (can seat up to 450 people)
  • Banquet Room (can seat up to 60 people)
  • Car Parking
  • Kitchen Facilities Equipment supplied
    • 20 Tables
    • 4 Tea Pots
    • 100 Coffee Cups
    • 300 New Chairs
    • 150 Old Wooden Chairs
    • 1 Piano

Available hours

The Centre is available for hire seven days a week between 8.00 am and 12.00 pm. 

The hall is opened on each occasion by the caretaker on duty.

Operation of centre

The hall is owned and managed directly by the Far North District Council. 
A Caretaker is employed to ensure that the Hall is cleaned, however groups are encouraged to clean up after individual activities. 

A Bond of $100.00 is held by Council and is refundable subject to the conditions of the hall after the Caretaker has been through to inspect. Once this has been completed the bond will then be released to the hirer within a week.

Are there regular users of the Centre?

The centre is regularly used to host weddings, public meetings, social events and general exhibitions. 

How to book

Enquires about hall availability can be made by contacting our Kaikohe office using our normal contact details or by coming into the office in Kaikohe. 

A Customer Services Officer will advise on the availability of the Hall and the Fees involved. 

Permanent Bookings can also be made.

Tentitive Bookings

We do not do tentative bookings - all bookings are to be confirmed. 
If cancelled within 3 weeks of the event they will not be charged a cancellation fee.

Permanent Bookings

Must stand down if another one-off Community based group requires the Hall e.g Northland College Science Fair. Adequate notice of 3-4 weeks must be given to the Group that is standing down..

Alcohol

Hirers who intend to consume alcohol on the premises must apply for a Liquor Licence – A Special Licence form must be applied and paid for at least one month prior to the event/function/social.
