The Far North District Council has a concern for an increased aging population in Northland. Emphasis is placed on possible tenants who are over the age of 60 and are on a benefit.
The Council has 14 complexes strategically situated around the Far North. These range from the towns of Kaikohe and Kaitaia to properties with a coastal outlook in Rawene, Kohukohu and Mangonui.

- Kerikeri: Four units with single bedroom (Units 4,5,6,7), Three Bedsits (Units 1,2,3)
- Rawene: Six units with single bedroom (Units 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8), Four bedsits (Units 3, 4, 9, 10)
- Kohukohu: Six units with single bedroom
- Omapere:6 units with two bedrooms (Units 1,2,4,5,6,8), 2 units with one bedroom (Units 3 & 3A), 1 unit with 3 bedrooms (Unit 7)
- Kaikohe: Two units with single bedroom, Thirty six Bedsits
- Mangonui: Six units with single bedroom
- Kaitaia, Oxford Street: Twenty five units with single bedroom
- Kaitaia, Puckey Ave: Twenty two units with single bedroom
- Waima: Three units with single bedroom
