Dog Impounding Fees
1st Impounding
i) Registered dogs displaying current tag - $30.00
ii) Registered dog, but not displaying current tag - $70.00
iii) Not registered - $135.00
2nd Impounding
All dogs - $162.00
3rd Impounding
All dogs - $270.00
Sustenance (per day), per dog, all impounding - $10.00
Seizure fee per dog - $67.00
Dog trap rent per week - $14.00
Dog trap fee for loss of damaged trap - Up to $540.00
Euthanasia fee per dog - $54.00
Handling fee - Actual and reasonable costs
Stock Ranging and Impounding
Every Horse, Bull, Ox (first head) - $54.00, thereafter $27.00 per head
Sustenance for Horse, Bull, Ox - $10.00
Every Ram , Sow etc (first head) - $20.00, thereafter $14 per head
Sustenance for Ram - $3.00
Sustenance for Sow - $5.00
Repetitive Impounds - Above fees + 50% increase fees for stock owned or controlled by same owner, impounded within preceding 30 days
Advertising Costs - Actual cost + $14 (administration fee)
Written Notice - $27.00
Administation fee for Transportation of stock - $27.00
Council officers, or otherwise, dealing with stock, the actual time shall be charged in accordance with the following scales:
Note: Actual time includes travel costs of the vehicle and trailer (if required)
Officer Charges
08.00 – 17.00 hrs - $81.00 per hour
*17.00 – 08.00 hrs (*minimum charge of 3 hours) - $108.00 per hour
2 or more officers - the above charge out time plus $30.00 per half hour for each additional officer
Vehicle Charges
Travel Vehicles - $0.65 cents per km
Trailer - $0.30 cents per km
Repeat Impound of Stock
An owner or persons in charge of stock shall, in any period of 6 months or less, from the date of the first impounding, be charged these additional fees
Second Impounding - Plus 50%
Third Impounding - Plus 100%
Fourth Impounding - Plus 200%
All fees are GST inclusive.
