Fees - Lease and Licence of Reserves

This charge covers administrative costs and is to be paid on application for reserve status. This charge is not payable in cases where the application can be processed in conjunction with a request to lease the reserve, in which case the $400 lease processing charge listed below covers the costs. Applicants will be required to meet other costs that may apply - Department of Conservation fees, Resource Consent Application fees, survey costs etc.

Administration charges to be paid on application for the lease. When applicable, applicants will also be required to meet legal expenses, Department of Conservation fees, Resource Consent and/or Liquor Licence Application fees.

Lessees are also required to pay rates and in some cases, where the lessees are occupying Council owned buildings, they are required to reimburse Council when annual insurance premiums are paid.
