What is RSS?
Real Simple Syndication (RSS) is a free and fast way for you to receive news from our website. When new content is added to our website, it will be sent straight to your RSS reader. From the summary, you can click a link to read the whole article on our website.
What do I need?
The first thing you need is an RSS reader. This reader software checks your feeds for new content. Free RSS readers are available from the internet and they do not take long to install.
RSS readers come in two kinds. You can download a dedicated desktop reader, which will be installed on your computer. Or you can set up a browser-based news reader, which allows you to read your feeds from any computer, and does not need a software download. You can find RSS readers by searching the internet.
Some of the more common web-based readers are:
- Google Reader
- My Yahoo!
- Bloglines
Some of the more common dedicated desktop readers based on a software download are:
- FeedReader
- FeedDemon
- RSSBandit
