Far North Trust Power Community Awards

This page provides information about a new annual award to give recognition to voluntary groups in the Far North.

The TrustPower Community Awards recognise and reward the amount of work done by volunteers. They are run in conjunction with the Far North District Council, and are open to all voluntary groups or volunteer-based not-for-profit organisations - from health support groups and school PTA's to sports and service clubs.

These awards recognise past achievements or work undertaken by volunteers over the previous 12 months. Anyone can nominate a voluntary group or not-for-profit organisation for the Awards. Groups and organisations can even nominate themselves!

The Awards cover five categories:

  • Heritage and Environment
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Arts and Culture
  • Sport and Leisure
  • Education and Child/Youth Development

Nominations for the 2009 Awards closed on 11 September 2009.
