LTCCP 2009/2019 (Far North Future Plan)

Information about the LTCCP 2009/2019 (Far North Future Plan) and all supporting documents.

General Information

Council regularly produces these public documents to keep their communities informed of plans, strategies and finances and to give them an opportunity to make submissions.

The Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) is a 10-year plan that contains both financial and non-financial information, and is reviewed every 3 years.

The purpose of the LTCCP is to inform the community of Council’s activities and the funding of those activities. It explains how Council intends to contribute to community well-being and identifies how progress will be monitored. It provides a picture of everything Council is doing and how those things fit together - a road map of what Council is doing and why. Community consultation is a key element of the LTCCP process.

The Annual Plan focuses on Council’s work for the year. It is incorporated into the LTCCP in the years when an LTCCP is published, and in the two years between each LTCCP, it is published as a separate document.

The Annual Report for each financial year provides information on what has been achieved by the Council, what has been spent and whether there have been any variations from the Annual Plan or LTCCP. It is usually published each November.
