Kawakawa Library and Service Centre is currently in a pop-up space in the Kings Theatre on Gillies Street in the heart of town, We'll be here until opening of the Te Hononga centre on June 15.
Historic Kawakawa is the gateway to the Bay of Islands, with a thriving local community and a railway that runs down the middle. It is also home to the famous Hundertwasser toilets.
Open on weekdays 8-4.30 and 9-1 on Saturday, Kawakawa Library and Service Centre offers a full range of FNDC services copying, scanning, faxing, public access internet and Wi-Fi.
Other programmes and services include a weekly storytime every Tuesday from 10:30am, computer and e-resource assistance, and Spark Jump - an initiative that allows eligible families to access prepaid internet services from home.
