Refuse Transfer stations will remain open at scheduled hours under COVID-19 Alert Level 3 protocols.
Full services are now available except for some recycling restrictions.
No plastics or cans are accepted for recycling at Alert Level 3, because these materials require manual handling and sorting which may expose staff to COVID-19.
Please stockpile plastics and cans hygienically until recycling services resume or alternatively put plastics and cans in your rubbish.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 lockdown, we are unable to operate community recycling centres until lockdown measures have been lifted.
Refuse transfer stations are now able (under Level 3 restrictions) to provide some recycling services. However, they are unable to accept plastics and cans because these materials need to be sorted by hand.
Please don’t endanger the health of our local workers – don’t dump your rubbish or recycling here.
Please hygienically stockpile your recycling until the lockdown measures have been lifted and we can open these facilities again.
Please take your rubbish to the nearest refuse transfer station or use the kerbside service if it comes to your property.
Please use kerbside rubbish collections if they are available – this reduces risk to our workers.
Please contact the waste companies who provide these kerbside services for more information.
