Our Libraries at Orange
From Tuesday the 5th, Vaccine passports will not be required to enter any of our libraries.
All our libraries are open under the Covid 19 protection framework at ORANGE
New Zealand has transitioned to the next stage of its COVID-19 response, which involves continuing with everyday activities and services while minimising the virus spread. This means we can continue to offer our services to people of the Far North with additional safety measures in place to protect the vulnerable and at-risk.
From Thursday 19 May, our libraries are operating at ORANGE under the new traffic light system, vaccine passes will NOT be required to access our libraries. We will still provide contactless service access for those do not feel comfortable entering our libraries.
The following safety measures help keep you, your whanau, and our communities safe.
- Face masks (no scarves, shirts or material coverings) are required inside our libraries. If you have a health-related exemption, please let our staff know and bring evidence of your exemption.
- Please keep a 1m distance from people you do not know to keep everyone safe.
- Stay home if you are unwell, and self-isolate until you receive a negative test to stop any potential spread of the virus.
The safety of our staff and communities is always our priority. We will closely monitor public health advice and update our website as new information becomes available.
