Help us change the Far North District Plan

The District Plan is a set of rules that outline where activities can take place and how land can be used, developed and subdivided. It is underpinned by the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA), which aims to promote the sustainable management of New Zealand’s natural and physical resources.

The Proposed District Plan is a review of the entire Operative (or current) District Plan. The review has changed the objectives, policies and rules that apply to your property (or property of interest to you). We encourage you to examine the full plan to understand exactly how it will affect you and your community. It is an ePlan, so you can easily do this online.

Learn more at pdp.fndc.govt.nz. This site gives information about how to navigate the plan online, and how to make a submission. The preferred method of making a submission is via the online tool, however you can use our Form 5 word document(DOCX, 75KB) if you prefer. Email your questions to pdp@fndc.govt.nz.
