22 Far North roads impacted by weather

All roads in the Far North are now open after last night's storm caused widespread flooding, brought down trees and caused slips across the district.

All roads in the Far North are now open after last night's storm caused widespread flooding, brought down trees and caused slips across the district.
As many as 27 roads were affected with several closed altogether today by debris or flood waters. While all roads have now reopened, several will remain restricted to one lane in places and motorists are urged to follow reduced speed limits and to drive to the conditions.

Far North District Council contractors are working hard to get roads reopened following last night’s storm. They have managed to clear trees and other debris to get many roads reopened, or at least one lane opened. Five roads were still closed as of midday.
Slips and road subsidence will require more time to clear and to repair, so please drive with caution where contractors are working or where roads are down to one lane.
