Hokianga Ferry 50% fare extended
Half price passenger fares on the Hokianga Ferry have been extended by two months until 31 August.
It’s good news for Hokianga Ferry users, who have been enjoying a 50% reduction in passenger fares since 1 April this year, this discount has now been extended to the end of August.
The government introduced the discount on public transport to counter the rising cost of living. The fare reduction, which applies to passengers only (vehicles are excluded), was due to finish at the end of June but it has been extended by two months.
A single journey for a passenger will now be $1 until 31 August 2022.
