Local election final results are in

Final election results are in, and Election Services can now confirm the new line-up of the Far North District Council.

Preliminary and progress voting statistics were made public on Monday 10 October on the Local Elections 2022 website. Final results were received late today (14 October 2022) and are now also available on the council website.

Final results show Moko Tepania increasing his preliminary vote tally by 270 in his run for the mayoralty, taking the final result to 7805 votes. This confirms his first term as Mayor. His nearest rival, Ann Court, received 7362 votes.

Final results include all verified votes and all special votes cast before polls closed on Saturday 8 October at midday. While the progress and preliminary results revealed slim margins between some candidates, the final tally has confirmed the new line-up of councillors and community board members as:
