We maintain a range of facilities for Far North residents and visitors, including playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, walkways and reserves. We also own and maintain toilets, wharves and pontoons, cemeteries, libraries, community halls and housing for the elderly.

Winning careers on offer at council P&I Show stand

If you've ever thought about a career with the Far North District Council, head to the Bay of Islands Pastoral & Industrial Show this weekend to find out about some the great opportunities on offer – you could win some fantastic tourism prizes too!

Staff will be on hand at the event with information about a range of career roles with the council. Pop over to the FNDC marquee, pick up a recruitment newsletter, and go into the draw to win one of three fantastic prizes.

Prize 1: Discover the Bay cruise for two people valued at $300

Prize 2: Flying Kiwi Parasail tandem parasail for two people valued at $230

Prize 3: Thunder Trike Tours 30-minute tour for two people valued at $178.

The P & I Show has been held in the Bay of Islands since 1842, making it the oldest agricultural show in New Zealand. This year's event takes place on Saturday 11 November at the picturesque showgrounds in Waimate North and is expected to attract around 7000 people.
