Bylaw consultation for Pou Herenga - Twin Coast Cycle Trail

Council is seeking public feedback on a proposal to amend the Pou Herenga Tai – Twin Coast Cycle Trail Bylaw. The bylaw was recently reviewed and council is proposing to amend the bylaw for clarity and consistency. Council is not proposing to make any changes to the rules for using the Pou Herenga Tai – Twin Coast Cycle Trail.

The statement of proposal can be viewed at  or is available to view during normal business hours at council’s Kaikohe headquarters

or at other council service centres or libraries on request.

Submissions open on Monday 20 June 2022 and can be:

  • made online at   
  • emailed to
  • dropped into any council service centre or library
  • posted to: Strategy Development Team, Far North District Council, Private Bag 752, Kaikohe 0440
  • presented orally to the council’s Strategy and Policy Committee on 26 July 2022.

Submissions close at 4.30pm on Wednesday 20 July 2022.

Council will consider all submissions. Those who would like to give their submission orally will be given an opportunity to do so at the Strategy and Policy Committee meeting on Tuesday 26 July 2022.
