Candidate statement:
Growing up in Whangārei instilled in me a deep love of the North, so when the time came to return after a career spent overseas, there wasn't anywhere else in New Zealand I wanted to be. The rich Māori and European history, our gorgeous beaches and our productive land are some of the reasons I call Kerikeri home.
I worked in communications specialising in complex change projects, which allowed me to gain strong skills in strategic thinking, scenario planning and financial forecasting. I now want to use these skills in the service of my community.
I want to ensure we continue to have a rich and vibrant arts scene and we have the infrastructure and services we need for people to thrive.
My post-corporate life is varied and includes helping others to reach their potential as a career coach, trail running and being part of the team at KKE airport.

Candidate statement:
Kia ora, my name is Francesca and I’m standing for the Kerikeri Community Board. My partner and I moved to Kerikeri from Wellington two years ago, bought our first home, got married in our backyard, and are planning to fully settle in this beautiful town. I work as Programme Manager for Reconnecting Northland, supporting communities to regenerate te taiao and help build resilient, flourishing ecosystems across the region. My background includes climate change consulting and Government policy roles in both New Zealand and Australia. I bring experience in environmental and community development work, strong governance skills, and a deep commitment to the long-term wellbeing of this incredible place and its people. I’m standing because I have a genuine stake in Kerikeri’s future. I want to ensure it thrives socially, economically, and environmentally, for current residents and future generations. I would love to constructively contribute to the Community Board's ongoing work.

Candidate statement:
I'm a proud local, born in Kawakawa and educated in Kerikeri. After spending time working in Auckland, I returned home in 2016 with my wife and two children so we could raise our family in the place that shaped me. I'm passionate about building a strong thriving community where people feel connected and supported. I love the outdoors and spend as much time as I can fishing and enjoying everything Northland has to offer. I'm a strong supporter of the arts and believe creativity and culture play a big part in creating a vibrant community. I've also represented Northland in golf, which taught me the value of commitment, focus and teamwork. I care deeply about the future of our region and want to be part of helping shape it for the better. I bring a practical, grounded approach and a genuine desire to make a positive difference for locals.
