Payment changes for building compliance certs
From 1 May 2024, customers requiring a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) from Far North District Council will need to pay for this service before receiving their documentation.
A CCC is a document issued by the council that confirms all building works have been completed and comply with the building consent.
Under the current system, the building team releases CCC documents with an invoice for the service. The change adds one step to the simple online process: payment, followed by release of the CCC. This process matches the council’s current building consent issue process.
The new system will help building teams manage CCC documents more efficiently and prevent customers from accruing debts that may need to be sent to a third party for collection.
