Local businesses have been given a positive boost by funding decisions from all three Far North community boards at their July meetings.

Emergency repairs to one-lane bridges near Kaitāia, Karikari Peninsula and Hihi will start tonight, Tuesday 15 July, from 8pm.

Rural school and club teams looking for financial support for tamariki to attend summer sport training and events need to get their applications in by 25 July 2025.

The collection of kerbside recycling in and around the Bay of Islands will end on Thursday 31 July, the company responsible for the service has confirmed. The council does not and has never run kerbside collections for either rubbish or recycling.
