Far North Youth Council

Far North Youth Council (FNYC) is a youth-led, youth development initiative launched by Far North District Council in 2016 with Ministry of  Youth Development funding. Since then, more than 120 young people aged 15-24 have represented their communities on the youth council in three chapters - one based in each of the district's wards.

We know young people see the world in a unique way so we want to hear what you think and how we can make the Far North a better place for rangatahi.

Applications are now open for the Far North Youth Council. Youth councillors will get tools to build their networks, be an advocate for Far North youth and be given opportunities for personal, professional development and growth.
