We maintain a range of facilities for Far North residents and visitors, including playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, walkways and reserves. We also own and maintain toilets, wharves and pontoons, cemeteries, libraries, community halls and housing for the elderly.

VIDEO - Committed cadets continue council careers

The newest stars of 2024's cadet programme have all been offered further employment within the council for the first time. FNDC's People & Capability Manager, Kayla Jonas says the programme, run through the Ministry of Social Development since 2005, has seen 55 rangatahi receive valuable work experience in a variety of council departments over the years. Meet the young recruits and hear what they think of the experience.
