Notice of Temporary Road Closure - Bay of Islands Run/Walk

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, the Far North District Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic from the dates and during the hours stated for the purpose of facilitating safe event operations during the following events:

Bay of Islands Run/Walk – Sunday 26th May 2024

Roads closed:

• Marsden Road (SH 11) between School Road and Bayview Road would be closed between 06:00AM and 12.30PM for the duration of the event. During this road closure traffic would be detoured from Marsden Road via School Road, Williams Road, and Bayview Road. This detour will still allow traffic to access the central business area and continue north & south.

• Tau Henare Drive between 7.00AM and 10:00AM
  During the proposed period of closure, alternative provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the road.
