We maintain a range of facilities for Far North residents and visitors, including playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, walkways and reserves. We also own and maintain toilets, wharves and pontoons, cemeteries, libraries, community halls and housing for the elderly.

Reducing waste

Far North District Council partners with EcoSolutions, which provides waste minimisation education throughout Northland. EcoSolutions is part of Kaitāia-based community business, CBEC.

EcoSolutions focuses on waste minimisation education and implementing behaviour change to reduce waste in homes, businesses and the community. To find out more, go to the EcoSolutions website.
