Lifetime achievement nominations
Te Tohu Tutuki – Far North District Council Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrates the people and organisations whose dedication is recognised among communities across the Far North.
Each year, we ask the public to nominate volunteers and local champions who have gone above and beyond for their communities.
The awards have five categories that recognise nominees' contributions:
- Positive outcomes for Māori
- Culture and history
- Economic development
- Resilient communities
- Proud, vibrant communities.
Those submitting nominations should be able to describe the nominee’s role, the reasons they deserve recognition, and the lasting impacts of their work.
Elected members, together with Community Board Chairs, will select the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners will be honoured at a special ceremony. Each recipient will receive a certificate, a gift, and have their names added to the Far North District Citizens Awards Honours Board, proudly displayed in the foyer of the Kaikohe headquarters.
Nomination forms are available to download here or can be collected from any Far North District Council service centre. Nominations can be submitted either by email to governance@fndc.govt.nz or dropped off in person at a service centre.
