September deadline for community board funding

Are you seeking community board funding for a Christmas or community event later this year? If the answer is yes, then time is running out to get your application in, due to the local elections in October.

The last meetings where funding applications will be considered this year, for all three Far North community boards, will be held in September.

If you are seeking community board funding for events planned between September and February, it is recommended to lodge your application before the dates below, to have your application considered at the September meetings.

  • Te Hiku Community Board -applications due Tuesday 5 August (for the meeting on Tuesday 2 September)
  • Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community Board -applications due Thursday 7 August (for the meeting on Thursday 4 September)
  • Kaikohe-Hokianga Community Board - applications due Friday 8 August (for the meeting on Friday 5 September)

Applications that miss these August deadlines will not be considered for the board meetings in September.
