The site where the new library and civic hub will be located is the corner of Raihara Street and Broadway in Kaikohe. This is about 80m away from the current location of the Kaikohe Library.
Establishing strong foundations for the landmark building that will become the Kaikohe Library and Civic Hub is underway on the corner of Broadway and Raihara Street.

The site of the new library and civic hub once housed a Save Mart second-hand shop and Petersen Motors show room. These buildings have now been demolished.
