Night works on three Te Hiku bridges

Emergency repairs to one-lane bridges near Kaitāia, Karikari Peninsula and Hihi will start tonight, Tuesday 15 July, from 8pm.

The work will repair damage to guard rails caused by vehicle impact and is expected to take up to 20 minutes at each location. Traffic management will be in place during the works.

The works are timed at night to minimise disruption.

The bridge locations are:

• Oturu Road, Kaitāia - one-lane bridge before Oturu School. Oturu Road is between Donald and Quarry roads, on the back road to Kaitāia Airport. Works start here at 8pm.
• Inland Road, Karikari Peninsula – the one-lane bridge closest to State Highway 10 (see below)
• Hihi Road, Hihi – the one-lane bridge closest to State Highway 10.
