Sports hub facilities

This large complex provides a high-quality recreational facility for sports people of all ages and abilities from around the Bay of Islands. The 46.77-hectare site is located opposite the Waipapa retail area on State Highway 10.

Five sports fields

• Four of the fields have been sown in couch grass – two being sand-based turfs and two soil-based.
• The fifth playing surface is a training field sown in rye grass.

Sealed carpark facilities

• 144 marked parking spaces
• eight disabled parks
• three bus bays
• a raised pedestrian crossing.

Toilet block

A toilet block and a concrete path has been constructed, and extensive landscaping, fencing, and weed control has been undertaken.
