VIDEO - Equal standing agreement welcomed by Whaingaroa iwi

Mana ōrite – equal standing – was celebrated in September between Te Rūnanga o Whaingaroa and Far North District Council with both parties formally signing a Mana Ōrite Relationship Agreement at Te Pokapū Hauora Hub in Kāeo. This agreement provides a framework for collaboration across housing, education, and infrastructure, ensuring that decisions are shaped by the aspirations of whānau and the Whangaroa community in general.
