By-election produces clear winner

The final count of votes in Te Hiku Community Board’s Whatuwhiwhi Subdivision by-election has confirmed Bill Subritzky as the winning candidate.

The final count of votes in Te Hiku Community Board’s Whatuwhiwhi Subdivision by-election has confirmed Bill Subritzky as the winning candidate.

At the close of voting at midday yesterday [17 September] a total of 933 votes were received, or 39.42 per cent of the Ward’s 2367 electors.

The final results are:

One blank vote and no informal votes were received.

Mr Subritzky will be sworn in as a member of the Te Hiku Community Board during its next meeting due to be held at the Mangonui Cruising Club on 6 October 2020.
