Both the east and the west coasts of the Far North have vehicle and passengers ferries that form part of the District's transportation network.
- The Hokianga ferry, between Rawene and Kohukohu, is operated on behalf of the Far North District Council by Broadspectrum.
- Fullers GreatSights run a vehicle ferry between Opua and Okiato, and a passenger ferry between Paihia and Russell. There are two other operators who also run a passenger ferry between Paihia and Russell - Waitere (the blue ferry) and the Happy Ferry (white).
Call 09 405 2602 or email email@example.com with service queries. The ferry operates seven days a week.
