Christmas and New Year office and service centre hours

Applications for LIM reports must be made by Tuesday 5 December 2023, if needed before Christmas. Those received after this date may not be issued until after Wednesday 10 January 2024.
Kaikohe, Kaitāia (Te Ahu), Kerikeri, Kāeo, Rāwene, and Kawakawa service centres close at midday on Friday 22 December, reopening on Monday 8 January 2024. Click view hours below.

Swimming pools

All four Far North pools operate under National Pool Safe standards and hold Pool Safe accreditation. This ensures that fully-qualified lifeguards are on duty and high-quality filtration systems keep the pools clean.

Kaikohe pool

Kaikohe pool is a summer pool, located in the Northland College grounds. It is a 33.3m pool with six lanes and is usually open between December and April (dates vary). Please contact CBEC or check their facebook page for more information.

Kaitāia pool

Kaitāia Memorial swimming pool is closed as we await the opening of the new Te Hiku Sports Hub.

Kerikeri pool

Kerikeri swimming pool is a summer pool, located at Kerikeri High School off Hone Heke Road. It is a 25m pool with six lanes as well as a dive pool and a toddler’s pool. It will open from early November 2022 to April 2023 (dates vary).

Other community pools

Kawakawa swimming pool is owned and operated by Sport Northland. It is a 25m indoor heated pool with six lanes. It is located in the Bay of Islands Recreation Centre within the Bay of Islands College grounds. This pool is open all year round including public holidays except Christmas Day.
