Applications due for Winter Rural Travel Fund

Rural school and club teams are reminded to lodge applications for the Winter Rural Travel Fund with this round due to close on Thursday 9 March. Applications will be considered by community boards in April.

Rural school and club teams are reminded to lodge applications for the Winter Rural Travel Fund with this round due to close on Thursday 9 March. Applications will be considered by community boards in April.

The Rural Travel Fund is designed to subsidise travel for rural junior teams aged between 5 and 18 years old. The aim is to help remove the barrier of travel costs so that participants can more easily compete in organised sports events.

The Rural Travel Fund covers travel to and from regular sporting events including competitions and practices within the Far North District. Teams can apply for up to half of their total travel costs for the upcoming season.
