Fantastic Mr Fox holiday fun

A production of Fantastic Mr Fox takes to the stage on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 July with funding support from Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community Board. Tickets are still available.

A chance for fantastic fun is on offer to school holidaymakers with a production of Fantastic Mr Fox at the Turner Centre next week, with funding support from Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community Board.

The amusing tale follows Mr Fox on a crusade to outwit the farmers trying to stop him from stealing their food. The original Roald Dahl story has been adapted for the stage and is being presented by the Youth Theatre with crew support from the Kerikeri Theatre Company. For two nights only, Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 July, the cast ranging from seven to 17 years old will perform the classic ‘goodies versus baddies’ caper directed by Kylie Penn.

The $2,000 grant from the community board will contribute to venue hire, advertising, administration, volunteer expenses, and production costs.

Tickets cost $15 per student (five to 18 years), $25 for adults, and $5 for kids under five. For more information visit https://www.turnercentre.co.nz/
