Tuia Rangatahi Leadership Programme
The Tuia Rangatahi Leadership Programme is associated with the Mayor's Taskforce for Jobs, and aims to empower rangatahi Māori throughout New Zealand to build networks and contribute to their local communities.
Three pou make up the Tuia rangatahi experience:
- Mentoring
- Community contribution
- Wānanga
The mentors for the Far North 2022 Tuia programme are Councillors Moko Tepania and Rachel Smith. The Far North District Council sponsors two delegates each year. Applications closed on 11 February 2022. The fund will reopen later in 2022.
