Find what other sources of funding and assistance you may be able to access to bring your project to life!
Far North District Council has Funding Advisors that are well placed to help you with your funding applications. You can email us at funding@fndc.govt.nz or call us on 0800 920 029 and ask to speak with a Funding Advisor at any time. We can walk through your project with you and give advice on how you can make your vision a reality.
A number of funding opportunities are available to the Far North District. Some of these are listed below for you - please note you need to contact them directly to discuss your project, as this funding is not administered by Far North District Council. .
Step 1. Foundation North
Foundation North was previously known as the ASB Trust and offers a number of funding opportunities. They are one of the few funders who will also consider covering operating expenses and salaries. Visit their website at https://www.foundationnorth.org.nz/ for further information.
Step 2. Pub Charities
Funding from Pub Charities comes from gaming machines at associated venues. You can visit their website at https://www.pubcharitylimited.org.nz/ for further information.
Step 3. Department of Internal Affairs
The Department of Internal Affairs administers a number of different funding opportunities, including the Lottery Grants Board, Mātauranga Māori Marae Ora Fund and Safer Communities Fund, as well as a number of other funds. Step 2. Kaikohe-Hokianga Ward
Hokianga Harbour Care
Tiaki Nga Wai o Hokianga (Hokianga Harbour Care - https://www.hokiangaharborcare.co.nz/) are working to improve the health of the Hokianga Harbour by restoring the health of waterways and catchments that flow into the harbour. If you live in the Hokianga area, they may be able to help you with fencing and riparian planting along waterways that lead to the harbour.
