On 28 May 2025, the Far North District Council lodged an application with the Northland Regional Council for replacement resource consents for the Whatuwhiwhi wastewater treatment plant.

Project Milestones
NRC publicly notified the application from Thursday 12 February and Thursday 12 March and the public notice was made available on NRC’s website. Notification has now closed, and council are working alongside the submitters to address the issues raised in their submissions.
