Mangōnui dump station closed

Mangōnui’s caravan and motorhome dump station, used to dispose of waste, is closed until further notice while the cause of a series of blockages is investigated.

Closing the facility at 36 Waterfront Drive will prevent sewerage overflow in the underground system and stop any contamination of the district’s waterways.

The dump station has been fenced off while contractors determine the cause of the blockages.

Potable water is still available at the site.
