Kaikohe dump station closed due to blockage

The Kaikohe campervan dump station is temporarily closed, due to an on-going blockage at the facility. An update will be provided on when the facility will reopen as soon as possible.

The site was emptied and cleared for use earlier this week but has recently become blocked again. It is assumed the issue may be caused by items that should not be disposed of in dump stations, such as nappies and wet wipes.

Users are reminded that only human waste and toilet paper should be disposed of at dump station facilities. Using them correctly helps keep these important services available for everyone.

In the meantime, motorhome users are asked to use the nearest alternative dump station in Kawakawa, located on Waiomio Street, just off State Highway 10.
