Kōrero with council on Waitangi Day

Want to know more about how whenua Māori is rated, how to undertake papakāinga developments and how council can enable the use of Māori land? Far North District Council’s Te Hono team will be on hand on Waitangi Day to answer those and other questions.

Anyone attending Waitangi Treaty Grounds on 6 February is invited to drop by the FNDC stall where staff and elected members will be available all day to answer questions. We’ll have specialists available in resource and building consents, Māori development and climate change planning. Councillors and community board members will also be there throughout the day to answer your questions. If we can’t give you answer on the spot, we’ll take your details so we can get back to you with the information you need.

The FNDC stand will be open from 10am at the southern end of the sports field area opposite the NZ Defence Force marquee.
